Oakland, California native Reign Reynolds is a journalism student who is a senior at California State University, Long Beach (CSULB). She decided to become a journalism major at CSULB because of her immense love for writing, creative writing, and interacting with people in general. She also has a big interest in public relations due to her having an interest in helping people get a good image on social media. 

Some of her hobbies include crocheting, doing nails as a licensed nail tech, going on walks, creative writing, photography and reading books, especially romance novels.

What she wants to gain from her journalism degree and her future journalist career is that she wants to strive to be good at working hard and to improve at networking and gaining connections in the journalism industry. 

She also wants to get better at social media management since she has an interest in public relations apart from her journalism degree. One last thing she wants to work on during and after her journalism degree is her search engine optimization to get her name out there.

Aside from journalism, her possible interest in public relations, and her other hobbies, a part of her also wants to go to law school to pursue a law degree. 

Reynolds has a big admiration for two people: the rapper Jay-Z’s wife, Beyoncé, who is a singer, and her mother. She admires both of them due to them being both being resilient people, extremely passionate about their craft, and in her opinion, they are both really good models of strong black women. 

Reynolds has a passion for journalism in general. And with her other passions of creative writing, photography, and social media management, she’s set to become a journalist after finishing her Bachelor’s degree.

As a person who grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area, she holds to the opinion that the Bay Area has better Mexican food than Los Angeles.
